Cherry Pie Smoothie

cherry-pie-smoothie The almond extract brings out the flavor of the cherries in this dessert smoothie while adding an interesting hint of almonds.

Smoothie tip: Place a few berries or small pieces of chopped fruit in the base of the glass. Serve the smoothie with a long-handled spoon so that the goodies at the bottom of the glass can be scooped out an enjoyed.

Cherry Pie Smoothie Recipe

Servings: 1 Serving


  • 15 pitted black cherries; canned or fresh & very ripe
  • 3/4 cup cranberry juice
  • 2 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • optional fresh cherries to decorate


Place frozen yogurt, juice, cherries and almond extract into your smoothie blender and process until silky smooth.

Sift contents through a non-metallic strainer into an ice-filled glass.

Decorate with fresh cherries.
