Protein Coconut Smoothie

After a 3 mile run on the treadmill I was in a creative mood when it came time to develop another post workout recovery drink. I scanned the kitchen for available ingredients and came up with a very thick flavor rich high protein recovery drink in the form of a smoothie. This healthy smoothie recipe is packed with protein due to the EAS whey protein mix and Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has less carbohydrate than your regular yogurt and is packed with more protein than regular yogurt. The end result is one of the thickest and tastiest smoothies I’ve created a long while.

Protein Coconut Smoothie Recipe

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (8 oz.) Horizon Organic 2% Reduced Fat Milk
  • 6 oz. Greek Yogurt
  • 1 banana; sliced
  • 1 scoop of EAS Vanilla 100% Whey Protein
  • 1/2 tsp. Coconut extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

Place the Greek yogurt, milk, whey protein, banana slices and ice cubes into your smoothie blender and process until smoothielicious.
