Banana Strawberry Surprise Smoothie

The surprise in this breakfast smoothie comes from all the goodies slipped into the blender; the creaminess of the banana and strawberries, the tang of lemon frozen yogurt and the nutty flavor of wheat germ that adds nutrition to this wonderful smoothie.

Smoothie tip: Instead of using whole milk, try orange juice for a subtle change.

Banana Strawberry Surprise Smoothie Recipe

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 small banana; peeled and chopped
  • 6 large strawberries; hulled
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp. skim milk powder
  • 1 tbsp. malt powder
  • 2 tsp. wheat germ
  • 2 tsp. unrefined sugar
  • 2 scoops lemon frozen yogurt
  • powdered cinnamon

Instructions

Place the banana, strawberries, whole milk, milk powder, malt powder, wheat germ and sugar into your smoothie blender and process until the mixture is pureed and sugar dissolved. Next you'll add in the frozen yogurt and two shakes of cinnamon powder. Process again until smoothielicious. Serve in a chilled glass.
